Charlene "Cherie" Wolverton

Charlene Ann (Anderson) Wolverton, 52, of Great Falls, a retired secretary with the Great Falls School District, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2015 from natural causes at Benefis Healthcare.A memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene, 1727 2nd Ave S, Great Falls, MT 59405. Burial of ashes will take place at a later date in Conrad, Montana. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.Charlene was known as Cherie to her immediate family. Cherie was born February 21, 1963 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Henry Dent and Florence Anderson. She was raised in Minneaplois until 1975 when she moved to Great Falls with her mother. She attended North Junior High and graduated from CMR High School.In 1981, Charlene married Jamie Christianson and she began her secretarial career at MSU, Bozeman. She returned to Great Falls and worked at the YWCA where she met her current husband, Dick Wolverton. After several years at the YWCA, she took a position with the school district, retiring after 20 years.She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Dick Wolverton; daughter Cathy (Brad) Kauffman; step-son Corey Wolverton; step-daughters Jamie Wilson and Tanya Wolverton; sister Barbara Carlosn; brother Hank Raaum; three grandchildren; six nieces and nephews; and sever great-nieces and nephews.She is preceded in death by her parents and her first husband.
