Cathy Satra

In the early morning hours of January 13, 2024, Cathy Satra danced into the arms of Jesus where she was welcomed with pure love and reunited with her loved ones in heaven. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.

Catherine Ann (Delaney) Satra was born in Sidney, MT on January 24, 1947, to Viola and Lawrence Delaney along with her twin brother, Kay.

After graduating from Sidney High School, she worked at the Dutchmill restaurant as a waitress where she met Glen Satra. Cathy and Glen were later married and moved to Bozeman, MT where they had their first child, Tammy Satra. By 1971, they moved to Great Falls, MT where they had a 2nd child, Trent Satra. They later divorced and Cathy began her journey to become a social worker for the State of Montana, a title that she was very proud to hold. It took a lot of hard work and dedication to earn her degree. She graduated College with honors and started working in Cut Bank, MT in Child Protective Services. After several years in Cut Bank, she moved back to Great Falls to finish her career in Adult Protective Services and later retiring. She enjoyed working in her yard, visiting with family and friends, volunteering at the Great Falls Civic Center, and reading and researching many books about faith and humanity.

Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Viola Delaney, and brothers, Donny and Larry Delaney. She is survived by her twin brother,  Kay Delaney; and brother, Jim (Donna) Delaney; daughter, Tammy Satra; son, Trent Satra; grandchildren, Clayton, Kaitlyn, and Katariah; and great grandchildren, Annabel and Emma.

There will be a vigil at Holy Spirit Catholic Church on May 10, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be on May 11, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with the inurnment to follow the service at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Following the inurnment, a luncheon will take place at Holy Spirit Parish Hall.
