Catherine Cathy R. Frank, 85, passed away at Peace Hospice on January 14, 2016.A celebration of life will be held at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel, 1410 13th St S, at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 23, 2016. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.Cathy was born on January 20, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois to Adam and Catherine Lange. Cathy married George Reed in 1946, they soon moved to Streator, Illinois. In 1957, they moved to Helena, where she worked at Safeway as a bookkeeper for years. She and George divorced in 1964. She later married John Frank and they moved to Conrad. She continued to work at Safeway, later she cooked at the Pondera Medical Center.After she retired, her and John enjoyed doing wood work from their home. Cathy also enjoyed baking cakes for the families in Conrad.She is survived by her children, George Butch Reed of Helena and Marie (John) Spurzem of Ulm; and five grandchildren. Cathy was a great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She had lots of good friends.She was preceded in death by her parents; ex-husband George Reed; and husband John Frank.
