Carolyn Grace (Wesley) Walter, 76, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2017 from lymphoma at Peace Hospice. There will be no services. Carolyn was born in Poughkeepsie, NY on February 17, 1941 to Eugene and Amelia (Binkowski) Wesley. She attended school in Wappingers Falls, NY graduating in 1959. She attended St. Lukes School of Nursing graduating in 1962. Carolyn married Robert Cook in 1962. She worked as a nurse in New York, Florida and Montana. She was divorced in 1972. Carolyn joined the USAF Nurse Corps in 1974 serving a 2 year tour and 12 years of USAF Reserve as a Captain receiving her honorable discharge in December 1988. She worked as a Rehabilitation Nurse for Deaconess and Benefis from 1978 until her retirement in 2001. She was an avid reader, and enjoyed fishing, camping bird watching and visiting with people. Carolyn is survived by her husband, John Walter, whom she met in 1974 and has enjoyed all 43 years together; son Daniel (Stay-ce) Cook; and grandson Tristan. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Patricia Miller.
