Carol Virginia Thompson

Carol Virginia Thompson, 86, of Great Falls, passed away on February 23, 2020. By her request, a service will not be held. Carol was born in Detroit, Michigan on July 25, 1933, to Walter and Mabel Parry. She grew up in a family of all girls; she was one of five daughters. Carol spent 25 years working for Michigan Bell, and returned to work for them again until their closing on January 8, 1982. She also worked at Mazies dress store and at the Northside IGA as a demo lady. She enjoyed sewing and reading, and was also a Red Hat Queen. Carol was preceded in death by her loving husband, Tom Thompson; longtime friend, Wendell Peck; three sisters; and her parents. She is survived by her sons, David (Barb) Perkins and James (Cindy) Perkins; daughters, Cynthia (Dale) George and Patricia (Mike) Byrn; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and sister, Shirley Foote. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the charity of your choice in her name is preferred.
