Carla Lehman

Carla Maxine Lehman, 56, of Great Falls, a C.N.A., died of a rare illness Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at a local hospital.Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2011, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Schnider Funeral Home. Her funeral will be held at Hillcrest Lawn Chapel on Wednesday, September 21, 2011, at 1 p.m. Burial will take place in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.After a courageous battle with a rare illness Carla passed on to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.Carla was born December 10, 1954, in Great Falls Montana, to Walter and Bertha Lehman. Carla developed a love for family and service even at a young age, a passion she pursued throughout her life. She graduated from Great Falls High School in 1974 and began her lifes work serving the community as a CNA to many local convalescent homes, ending her 37-year-long career at Benefis Convalescent Home.Carla was devoted to her family, never missing a birthday or special event. She enjoyed any family gathering and illuminated them with her infectious laugh and sense of humor. Carla was a faithful member of her church, serving the members and community in any way she could. Her hobbies included finding treasures at garage and yard sales, sitting in a lawn chair by the river fishing, and telling anyone that would listen about the goodness that the Lord had brought to her life. She will be remembered for the selflessness she showed, the laughter that she brought, and the valiant fight she fought. Survivors include her brother, Charles Lehman (Patty) of Great Falls, nephews and nieces John Lehman (Theresa) of Grand Junction, CO, Carrie Gregory (Rick) of Great Falls, Marvin Lehman (Raechel) of Madison, WI, Jason Lehman (Terah) of Great Falls, Carolina Provvido of Los Angeles, CA, as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews, with one great-great-niece on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Bertha Lehman; brothers Marvin Lehman Sr. and John Rossi; and a niece, Nikki Lehman.Memorials are suggested to Peace Hospice, 1101 26th St. S., Great Falls, MT 59405.
