Caleb Daniel Schendel, 27, of Great Falls, passed away Monday, July 6, 2015 due to an accident.A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at First Alliance Church. A reception will follow at Valley Community Church.Caleb was born on May 19, 1988 in Abington, Pennsylvania to Kim and Kathy (Tuft) Schendel. He was home schooled, graduating in May, 2007. His senior year, he worked for Talon Heating & Plumbing. After graduation, he learned home construction from Jay Agrimson. He was employed at Eagle Falls Golf Course, Great Falls Airport, and sub-contracted for Don Weakland Construction and Remodeling.He attended First Alliance Church and went with a missions team to El Salvador helping at an orphanage and working construction. Caleb enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, kayaking, soccer, and playing his guitar. He was very fun, loved life, and had a wonderful sense of humor. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and most recently, working on cars and learning new trades.Caleb is survived by his parents, Kim and Kathy Schendel of Great Falls; brother Joshua (Bethanne) Schendel of St. Louis, MO; sisters Rachel (Brian) Belakjon of Great Falls, Sarah Schendel of Bozeman, and Deborah Schendel of Nyack, NY; uncles Wayne (Sharon) Schendel, David Edmonson and Jerry Edmonson; aunt Brenda (Sam) Baderdeen; maternal grandparents John Tuft of Spokane, WA and Jan Kautz of Lewiston, ID; paternal grandparent Valerie French of Great Falls; and five nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Donald Schendel.Caleb, we love you and will always treasure you in our hearts.
