Butch Sims

Butch Sims, 60, of Great Falls passed at his home on Wednesday, November 27 after a long battle with COPD. His service will be held on December 7, 2019 in Lewistown, MT at Saint James church at 2:00 pm. He was born on April 4,1959 in Lewistown, MT to Jerri and Edward Sims. He met the love of his life in Sidney, MT, Lois Ward in 1981. Together they raised three children. Butch enjoyed being a custodian for 30 years. In his free time he spent his time in the outdoors, either fishing or hunting. He loved climbing the mountains looking for his big whitetail bucks. He took pride in being a grandpa to his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Lois of 38 years. Daughter, Felicia (Roger) MadPlume and his two sons Joshua (Roxi) Sims and Jacob (Brandy) Sims. His mother Jerri Cox and his four sisters, Patty Wells of Missoula, Lisa Stuver of Lewistown, Tracy Irish of Lewistown and Kristie Kirkpatrick of Great Falls. His grandchildren, Serenity, Donavan , Fallyn, Braiden, Jeremiah, Annika, James, Quinnley, and Willa. Several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Preceded in the death of father, Edward Ray Sims. Grandparents and several aunts and uncles. We lost a wonderful husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend we could ever ask for. He was a man that would give his own shirt off his back to help another. He always made you feel welcome and safe. We have been blessed to have shared our life with him. He will be dearly missed.
