Brett A. Standley, 49, of Ulm and Great Falls, a former aid with the Great Falls School District, passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 of renal failure at a local care facility.A funeral service will be held at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel on Monday, June 11, 2012 at 7:00 p.m.Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. on Monday, June 11, 2012.Entombment will follow the service.Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.Brett A. Standley was born on January 26, 1963 in Great Falls.He attended Great Falls "public" Schools and graduated from CMR High School in 1985. He was involved in Special Olympics and Great Expectations Band while in High School.He bowled on the Cerebral Palsy League for many years. He was employed at the Great Falls "public" Schools as an aid for many years.Brett was an avid fan of the Denver Broncos, University of Montana Grizzlies, and the Utah Jazz.He enjoyed watching TV and visiting with people.He had many friends.Brett is survived by his dad, Duke Standley of Ulm; guardians Aunt Debbie and Uncle Ron McLaughlin of Ulm; brother Bart Standley of Great Falls; nieces Hailey and Madison of Great Falls; Aunt Caroline and Uncle Larry Moss of Great Falls; Aunt Muggs and Uncle Jim Westermeyer of Vaughn; several cousins in Montana and Colorado; and several good friends he made in his lifetime.He was preceded in death by his mom, Bev Standley; his grandparents; an Aunt and an Uncle.In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be given to the Missouri River Manor Activity Dept., 1130 17th Avenue South, Great Falls, MT 59405 or Bridges Adult Daycare Center, 2326 1st Avenue North, Great Falls, MT 59401.
