Blanche A. (Peterson) Westfall, 90, passed away May 4, 2020, at Park Place Care Center. Blanche was the middle child of 7 born to Reuben and Rose Peterson in Turner, MT. Growing up, Blanche lived 2 years in Lafayette, IN, but mostly in MT. She graduated from GFHS in 1948. She married her husband Robert Westfall in 1949, and moved to Rochester, NY for 2 years after Robert was out of the Air Force, then back to Great Falls. Two daughters, Luana and Debbie were born from the 44 year marriage. She worked 27 years in banking at Great Falls National and First National banks, retiring in 1984. She helped daughter, Debbie at Chi Chi’s and daughter, Luana at Tax Team. She was loving and kind hearted. She loved meeting people and helping her family and friends. She loved spending time at their cabins at <>-X and enjoyed playing bingo. She was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church. Blanche is survived by her daughters, Luana (Bill) Brown and Debbie Battleson; grandchildren, Mike (Alisa Rodriguez) Brown, Brian Brown, Robert (Samantha Ohara) Battleson, and Steven Battleson; great-grandchildren, Tyson (Johnny), Josh, Karisa, Devin, Franci, Lucas, Briana, Sean, Zach, and Max; great-great-grandchildren, Carter, Carson, Charlee and Brynlee; sisters, Ruth Mueller of CA and Lorraine Hinkle of WA; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; parents; sisters, Mildred Owen Kelleher, Marie Pankratz, and, Lucille Ross; brother, Claude Peterson, son-in-law, Bob Battleson; and granddaughter-in-law, Quincie Dawson Brown. Visitation will be held one hour prior to 1:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 19, 2020, both at O'Connor Memorial Chapel. Burial will take place at Highland Cemetery immediately following the service. A special thanks to all who helped care for her.
