It is with tremendous sadness the family of Beverly Ann (Dickens) Amaral announces the passing of their beloved wife and mother on September 25, 2018. Beverly was born to James Henry Dickens and Edna Gertrude (Touchette) Dickens, on September 29, 1939, in New Bedford, Massachusetts. She has one sister, Star, of New Bedford. Bev attended St. Ann’s School of Nursing in Fall River, MA, and was a licensed practical nurse. Bev married James Cornell Amaral in April 19, 1960, and followed him around the world as he served in the US Air Force. One of Bev’s greatest joys in life was raising her children and spending time with her family. Bev and her husband settled in Butte, Montana, in 1986, a place Bev called home. She spent years working at the Crest Nursing Home, doing senior blood pressure clinics, and attending and teaching yoga at the YMCA. Bev loved to read, walk, spend time outdoors, practice yoga, and explore Yellowstone National Park. Bev is survived by her husband; sister; four children, Lisa (John) Carter of Great Falls, Ruth (Dave) French of Billings, James Amaral of Richmond, Virginia, and Kristy (Josh) Brookes of Molalla, Oregon. She also has 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both of her parents and one great-granddaughter. The family would like to thank the staff at the Peace Hospice House in Great Falls, Montana, for the loving care they provided their mother.Memorials may be made to the Peace Hospice in Great Falls, Montana.
