Betty Goodman

Betty Elaine Goodman, 85, of Great Falls, died of natural causes on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at a local hospice facility.A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Friday, May 24, 2013 at Schnider Funeral Home.A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at Sun River Cemetery.Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.Betty was born on May 17, 1928 in Shelby, Montana to Floyd and Neva (Hoover) Marril.She spent her early years in Cut Bank, MT and her teenage years in Great Falls.She worked as a waitress for Victors at the airport and then Gordons Restaurant.Betty moved to Ronan and cared for senior citizens in Ronan.When she retired, she moved to Lincoln, MT until her health began to fail and the she moved back to Great Falls.She married Shelby Goodman in Great Falls in the late 1970s, he died in 1985.She was a member of the Red Hats Society for many years and the Wednesday Gossip Hour.Betty loved gardening, planting flowers and her rose bushes.Betty is survived by her son, Martin (Lissa Kurth) Cox of Great Falls; daughter Carolyn (Robert) Beck of Seattle, WA; grandchildren Koleton Custer, Michelle Custer, Bo Custer, Martin Cox, Jr., Aaron Cox, Amber Hoffman and Darcy Black.She was preceded in death by her son, Mark Cox; daughter Mary Ellen Cox; son Aaron Z.
