Betty Marie Bedle, 89, of Great Falls, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2013 at Peace Hospice, following surgery.Betty was born May 26, 1924 in West Hoboken, New Jersey. As a member of the Greatest Generation, she experienced WWII working in New York City, going to see the Big Bands, including Frank Sinatra. She was a trained and skilled secretary who took pride in her profession. When not being a full time mother, she worked at various places, lastly at Boeing. Upon her retirement, she moved to Great Falls to be near family.Betty was beloved by all who knew her.She was a kind and loving person, strongly independent and uncomplaining, yet compassionate and friendly.All who knew her called her a sweetheart. She actively supported animal welfare and veteran charities. She enjoyed her container garden, nickel slot machines, a good cup of coffee, NASCAR, and the Pittsburgh Steelers.Betty is survived by her children, Arden (Janet) Bedle of Everett, WA, Debbie (Bob) Kuntz of Great Falls, Randy (Linda) Bedle of Santee, CA, and Jon Bedle of Carlin, NV; and eight grand and seven great-grandchildren scattered throughout the country and Scotland.The family wishes to thank and acknowledge and extremely skilled and compassionate care that Betty received from the physicians, nurses and staff at Benefis ICU, PCU and hospice and her doctors, Craig L.Treptow and Glenn A.
