Beta Anna McKnight, 93, of Great Falls, passed away May 1, 2016.No services, per her request. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.Beta was born on April 13, 1923 in New Hradec, North Dakota to Mike and Maria (Stroh) Heiser. She worked as a waitress for 23 years at Eddys Caf, retiring in 1972.She married Lynn Dale McKnight on February 21, 1958 in Conrad, Montana. He passed away in 1999.Beta loved to work in her garden and walk her dog.She was preceded in death by her brothers, Max, Ralph, and Anton; her sisters, Barbra, Catherine, and Theresa.Beta is survived by her two best friends, Kay Lassila, Daryl Rogers and their families of Great Falls; and several nieces and nephews of North Dakota.This is Betas favorite poem:Miss Me - But Let Me GoWhen I come to the end of the roadand the sun has set for me,I want no rites in a gloom filled roomWhy cry for a soul set free?Miss me a little - but not too longand not with your head bowed low,Remember the love that we once sharedMiss me - But let me go.For this journey that we all must takeand each must go alone,Its all a part of the Master plana step on the road to home.When you are lonely and sick of heartgo to the friends we know,and bury your sorrows in doing good deeds.Miss me-but let me go, for I will wait for you.A great big Thank You to all the personnel at Park Place for taking such good care of Miss Beta.
