Becky Helton

Rebecca Becky Helton, 73, of Great Falls, lost her battle with ovarian cancer May 26, 2017 with her husband by her side.A viewing will be held at 9:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 both at Fairview Baptist Church, 4428 2nd Ave. N., Great Falls. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery.Becky was born July 12, 1943 in Cherokee, Alabama to Clyde and Wylodean DuBois. She graduated from high school and business college in Alabama. She worked at March AFB FCU for 3 years and moved to Great Falls in 1975 and worked at Great Falls Federal S&L from 1975 to 1987. She then volunteered at Benefis East for over 18 years.Becky married William Buddy Helton in 1985. They loved to travel, taking trips to the Grand Canyon, Hawaii, Daytona Speedway, Disney World, the Oregon coast and Albuquerque. They also took yearly trips to Alabama to visit family and friends.She loved people, cooking, sewing and took pride in making good meals for Buddy and their friends. Food had to look good to taste good. Some of her favorites to eat were salads and tacos. Becky loved to bake pecan pies, giving most of them away to friends. She enjoyed writing letters to friends and former church members. Most of all she enjoyed time with her best friend, Buddy.Becky was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. She was a friend to everyone and loved her church family.Becky is survived by her husband, Buddy; daughter Teresa Lang-Court; son Chris Lang; step-daughters Bobbie Helton and Marnetta Helton-Banfill; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Charles; and sister Peggy.In lieu of flowers, memorials in Beckys name may be made to Fairview Baptist Church Building Fund.
