Arlene Strizich

Arlene (Patterson) Strizich, 95, of Great Falls, a retired secretary for Auto Parts, Inc., died on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at Peace Hospice of natural causes.Her funeral liturgy will be at St. Anns Cathedral on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.Arlene Strizich was born April 22, 1917 in Mitchell, South Dakota, where she was raised and educated. She married Matthew Strizich in Mitchell in 1938.Arlene worked as a secretary for Palmer Brothers Auto Supply for 30 years.She was active in church activities; was a long term Eucharistic Minister; a member of Central Catholic School Mothers while her sons were in school; lifelong member of St. Anns Parish and member of Elks Auxiliary.Arlene was an avid card player, always ready for a game. She was a regular traveler throughout her life, going all over the US and even enjoyed trips to Germany and Spain. She was happiest surrounded by her children and especially her grandchildren and her many friends. Arlene was always generous with her time, energy and love. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and will always be lovingly held in our memory.Survivors include her sons, John (Fran) Strizich of Flagstaff, AZ, James Strizich of Swan Lake, William (Ann) Strizich of Helena and Thomas Strizich of Kalispell; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, Mathew Strizich in 1983.
