Antonia "Toni" Stoye

May 24, 1938 — April 13, 2015

After a full life, Antonia Toni Stoye went home to be with the Lord on April 13, 2015. She passed away peacefully at Peace Hospice in Great Falls of Alzheimers at the age of 76.Toni was born on May 24, 1938 in the town of Shamokin, Pennsylvania, the third child of the late Anthony Tex Stanley Zarkoski and Estelle Kathryn Dombroski. She graduated from St. Edwards Catholic High School in 1956 and moved to New York City to pursue training as a medical technologist. She lived a varied life, spending time living and traveling on both coasts, Hawaii, and in Europe. She had a great sense of humor and even through adversity smiled a lot. Toni was an avid reader and loved doing crosswords and solving the puzzles on Wheel of Fortune long before the contestants. She enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandkids, going shopping or playing board games. There were many family meals around her table. One of her last jobs was working in a cigar shop and one of her favorite memories from later in life was taking an exciting ride in a hot air balloon.Toni was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Estelle Zarkoski and brother Fr. Don Zarkoski. She is survived by her two children, daughter Michelle (Dean) Tanner of Great Falls; son Allen (Becky) Stoye of Des Moines, Iowa; five grandchildren, Danielle Engellant, Katrina Tanner, Wyatt Tanner, Jack Stoye, and Leah Stoye; three great grandchildren, Olivia and Ayla Waring and Delanie Engellant; dear, longtime friend, Don Smith with whom she shared many special memories in the last years of her life; and sister Joan Flannery of Long Island, New York.May we all live, as Toni endeavored to live, caring for and accepting others. This quote was found in one of her notebooks, Whenever we give out love and joy, it inevitably comes back to us.
