Anna Beckman

Anna Y. Beckman, 82, of Great Falls, a secretary for many years at Saints Peter and Paul, Blessed Trinity and Holy Spirit Catholic School for over 40 years, died at home of natural causes July 31, 2012.Vigil service is 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 3, 2012 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. The Funeral Liturgy will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday August 4, 2012 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church.Burial will take place at Mount Olivet Cemetery following the service. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.Anna was born on May 24, 1930 in Great Falls to John Ivan and Mary (Kalafat) Yurko.She attended school and graduated from St. Marys High School in Great Falls. She married Robert Beckman on March 25, 1951 and they shared many happy years together until his death in June of 1989.Anna was a loving mother and a guiding light to her family and those she touched throughout her 40 years as a secretary in the Catholic School system starting at Saints Peter and Paul, then Blessed Trinity and finally at Holy Spirit Catholic School.She enjoyed volunteering for community events, ushering at the Civic Center and singing at mass at the retirement centers.She would help with any cause that promoted this city, her church and the Catholic school. Anna was always on the go enjoying life.She liked to read and bake.Annas biggest joy was her family and friends.Anna is survived by her daughters, Terry and husband Dan Ewing, Karen and husband Bill Cramer, all of Kalispell, and Wendy and husband Randy Simkins of Butte; her sons, David and wife Leslie Beckman of Eugene, OR and Robert and wife Patty Beckman of Chicago, IL; grandchildren Erikand Ryan Ewing, Dan and wife Jody Cramer, Stefanie andhusband Jason Hanson, Lys Marie and Seth Opp-Beckman, Sarah and Bobby Beckman, Jake, Kaylee, Jared and Matthew Simkins; and one great-grandchild, Riley Robinson-Cramer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C.
