Andrew “Andy” Mark Mears, 55, passed away peacefully at his home on July 1, 2021, in Great Falls, Montana. Andy was born in Great Falls, Montana on May 11, 1966, to John and Helen Mears and was the twelfth of sixteen siblings, twelve surviving. Andy was an avid wrestler in his youth. Through junior high and for several years in high school, he wrestled in the AAU Junior Olympics – and won, a lot. He won five City Championships from 6th-9th Grade. He was ranked #1 at Divisionals in high school. He graduated C. M. Russell High School in 1985. Andy was hard worker who was dedicated to everything he did. He started his first paper route was at the age of 12 and delivered newspapers for the Great Falls Tribune though most of his young adult life. As an adult, Andy worked for Easterseals-Goodwill Northern Rocky Mountain, Inc. for many years. He received an award for never missing a day of work in 30 years. He was very well liked there and by many in the Great Falls community. Andy’s family, co-workers, and friends have many memories of things Andy did and said. We remember these cherished memories with a smile. Andy is survived by his mother, Helen Mears; siblings, Sharon McBride, Sheila Trexler, John (Lois) Mears, Mary (Jim) Heidlebaugh, Katherine Mears, Ryan Mears, Jenny (Randy) Griswold, Charlie (Crystal) Mears, Roger Mears, Colleen (Alden) Anderson, Monica (Joseph) Henning, and Teresa (David) Schraner; sister-in-law, LaRay Mears; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, John Mears; brothers, Daniel and Luke Mears; and sister, Nancy Mears.
