Ambrose Harry Goudy

June 21, 1937 — March 13, 2018

Ambrose H. Goudy, 80, of Great Falls, passed away on March 13, 2018. A public visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel, 1410 13th St. S. Ambrose was born June 21, 1937 in Whitetail, MT. In 1945, his family moved to Troy, MT where he graduated from Troy High School in 1955. After high school, he joined the United States Air Force and served our country for 22 years including time in Vietnam. While stationed in Newfoundland, Canada Ambrose met and married the love of his life, Beverly. They were approaching their 57th Anniversary at the time of his passing. After retiring from the USAF, he continued to work many jobs to provide for his family. One of the main jobs was being employed for over 22 years at Deaconess Hospital. Upon retirement from the hospital he had a hard time not working. Ambrose took up another job at the Holiday Inn, he enjoyed going to work and interacting with the guests each day. Ambrose enjoyed gardening and loved taking care of his plants especially African Violets. He also loved his horse, Nadine, which he had to sell before joining USAF and he made a promise to her he would never own another horse. He is survived by his wife, Beverly of Great Falls, MT; four sons Duane of Las Vegas, NV, Gary of Great Falls, MT, Greg (Tonja) of Bothell, WA and Jeff (Krista) of Billings, MT; daughter Rhonda of Great Falls, MT; sisters May Sledjeski, Inez Tweet and Edith Burgess; brother Donald Goudy; sister-in-law MaeBelle Goudy; and grandchildren Theresa, Isaac, Joshua and Theron. Ambrose was preceded in death by his parents, Ambrose G. and Threasa Goudy; brothers George and John; sisters Emma, Marian, Grace, Lucille and Georgia.
