Alda Grace Kivinen Myre, 95, of Great Falls, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Benefis Hospital.She was born in Chinook, Montana on September 25, 1918 to Jake and Lucille Powell. On June 17, 1935 she married Edwin Kivinen. They had two children, Joyce and Kale. Ed passed away June of 1984. In 1989 Alda married Malcolm Carlisle, they later divorced. In 2001 Alda married Jim Myre and they later divorced.Alda owned the Truck Stop Cafe in Sun River. She worked as a cook for many years, in Cascade, Fairfield, and Great Falls. She loved to fish whenever she could, to travel, and drove everywhere until she was 93 years old. She went to England and Korea, and took a cruise to the Bahamas. She lived in Montana, Oregon, Washington, and Idaho.She is survived by her children Joyce Pritchett of Raynesford and Kale (Letha) Kivinen of Dillon; brothers, Bill (Sharon)Powell and Teddy (Annette) Powell; sisters Avis (Bill) Grosclose, Jo (Jake) Delger, Luella Brownlee, Margie (Doug) Liedle, and Lola (Gaylord) Gilbert; granddaughters Brenda Montgomery of Crestview, FL, Toni Couch of Astoria, OR, Christine Couch Carrier of Great Falls, Secret (Jim) Kivinen Kunkleof Arlington, TX, Aldalee (Bill) Kivinen McAlmond of Helena, and Melissa Couch Reavis of Raynesford; 17 great grandchildren, Nick Minervine, Bowen Couch, Brooke (John) Paliga, Cheyanna (Michael) W elch, Brittany (David) Arend, Ashley (Travis) Poor, Megan Fischer, Vincent (Amanda) Martin, Brenah (Tom) Quinn, Thoren Poole, Kabrishiana (Aaron) Chalmers, Secret Rylee Kunkle, Kooper McAlmond, JauQeel Reavis, Ivie McAlmond, Jaret Kunkle and Kaleah Kunkle; and 23 great-great grandchildren, Kiana, Kale, Khloe, Phoenix, Tommy, Trevor, Lexie, Linzie, Teagan, Drue, Breanna, Braydan, Kane, Adelyn, Gavyn, Amarion, Kannon, Emalee, Ethan, Egan, and Jeffery.Alda was preceded in death by her husbands, Ed and Malcolm; son-in-law Roy Pritchett; brothers Ben and Orville; sisters Cora, Betty, and Verta; her grandsons Kevin and Koby; and great grandsons Tad and Jase.There will be a graveside service on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Sun River Cemetery.
