Albert Mike Swartz, 101, of Great Falls, passed away on February 20, 2020. Albert was born to Michael and Mary (Mayernik) Swartz on October 26, 1918, in his home in Stockett, Montana. He grew up in his home with three brothers, Charles, Tony, and Lawrence, and two sisters, Margaret and Helen. He attended Selstrom Country School. Albert worked on the family farm while growing up. He was a good steward of the land. Later on, Albert joined the Army and served in the South Pacific. After his discharge in 1945, he returned to Stockett and worked on the family farm. He married Ellen Louise Steffani Drazich on November 18, 1961 in Great Falls, Montana. They spent 56 wonderful years together until Ellen’s passing on October 31, 2017. Albert is survived by stepsons, Warren (Nancy) Drazich of Stockett, Montana and Timothy (Marge) Drazich of Great Falls; stepdaughter, Barbara (Ed) Pepos of Montrose, Minnesota; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter. Albert was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Charles, Tony, and Lawrence Swartz; sisters, Helen Halko and Margaret Swartz.
