Albert J. (Al) Cady, 76, a retired USAF Veteran, died of sepsis infection, May 21, 2013, at the Benefis Skilled Nursing Center in Great Falls MT.Cremation has taken place.Schnider Funeral Home handled the arrangements. A combined memorial service for Albert and his youngest son Alan (Date of Death:February 13, 2013) will be held June 15, 2013at 1:p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Great Falls, with Fr Lou Krauth officiating.Luncheon to follow. Albert J. Cady was born February 15, 1937 in Lyndonville VT, to Albert F Cady and Helen (Hamel) Cady.Al attended elementary school and received his high school diploma in Vermont.He was born with a smile and left with a smile.After high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. Als Military career took him to Montana, Germany,England, Holland, Florida, Vietnam, and Texas.One of the highlights of his military career was shooting on Air Force Pistol Teams from 1955-1967, winning worldwide Air Police Rifle and Pistol championships in 1960 in Florida, and The Navy and The Army Teams championship. As a result the team was flown to Washington, DC and honored at a Banquet where General Curtis Lemay personally presented him a trophy.While in Germany his team won the USA Forces-Europe matches in 1965. Al and Marilyn (Boecker) Cady celebrated their 56th Wedding Anniversary March 30, 2013. They were the first couple married in the new Malmstrom AFB, Montana Chapel on March 30, 1957.In addition to his Military Career, Al and Marilyn also owned and operated their own direct sales organization for many years and were motivational speakers. These were some of the best times in their lives.After Al retired from the military, he and Marilyn continued to live in Texas from 1975-1992. Retiring in 1992, they returned to Great Falls to help family members.He was an avid fisherman and boating captain.Al loved laughing and joking; buying and selling on e-bay; playing on his computer and e-mailing old friends;building and flying remote control airplanes with his son, Alan; travelling in his Motor Home with his wife; spending time with his family and sharing his military stories with everyone.Al always spread humor and good cheer wherever he went, helping anyone he could and trying to leave people feeling better because he had been there. He loved to uplift others.Throughout all of his illness over the years, he never complained.Always keeping a great smile, a cheerful attitude and a positive desire to overcome his health challenges.Al is survived by his wife, his mother-in-law, Magdalena (Foshag) Boecker, his son, Steven (Theresa Ackermann) Cady, his daughter, Lindy (Ken) Alberts, his daughter-in-law Beckey Cady; his sisters:Sheila (Richie) Forsythe, Diana Meiers, Shirley (Tom) Peevers, Sylvia (Woody) Meiston, Fran (Gene) Caroselli; his brothers:Michael (Debbie) Cady and John Cady and numerous nieces and nephews.He has 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and many special friends.Special thank you to his daughter Lindy, his son-in-law Ken, his son Alan (until his death), his very special daughter-in-law Rebecca Cady and Jetta McKinley, for their loving tender care during his tragic illness.They never wavered and were on constant call for anything they could help him with.He was preceded in death by his youngest son Alan (Feb 3, 2013), parents, his father-in-law, Raphael A Boecker and his favorite grandmother-in-law, Margaret E (Sullivan) Foshag.Sweetheart, even though we are far apart, we have a link from heart to heart.You are my hero!I love you Teddy Bear.In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 409 13th St S, Great Falls MT 59405 (406-462-6464) or the Great Falls Rescue Mission, 317 2nd Ave SGreat Falls, Mt 59401 (406- 761-2653).
