Adele Meister, 76, our mother, Nonna, and friend who lived a simple life with elegance and grace, completed her life journey the afternoon of July 8, 2013 doing what she loved to dogetting ready for a trip to visit family.A vigil service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 12, 2013 with viewing one hour prior to the vigil at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.A funeral liturgy will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery.Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.Adele was born December 17, 1936 in Anaconda, Montana.She was educated in Anaconda and came to Great Falls in 1955 to attend the College of Great Falls. She married the love of her life, Jim Meister, on August 3, 1957 in Anaconda.While in Great Falls, she taught at the St. Thomas Orphanage but spent most of her teaching career at Our Lady of Lourdes, where she was principal from 1986 to 1999 and where she continued to teach as a substitute until the time of her death. In Adeles heart, the Trinity was God, family and Our Lady of Lourdes School.As a wife, mother, Nonna, caregiver, humanitarian, and teacher, she embodied the spirit of everything we are called to be.She had a place in her heart for people of special needs, which was embodied in her caring devotion of her husband, Jim, and brother, Jerry.She was a sports enthusiast, a dedicated fan of the Packers and the Red Sox.She is preceded in death by her husband, Jim; parents Joseph and Ella Micheletti; her dear brothers, Michael and Jerry; and her brothers-in-law, Bud Turner and Robert Meister.Adele is survived by her six children, Maureen Kohler (Allen) of Spokane, Washington, Michele Mattix (Bill) of Billings, Martin (Shomai) of Yakima, Washington, Matthew (Valerie) of Vancouver, Washington, Mark (Ann) of Moorhead, Minnesota, and Molly Johnson (Mark) of Columbia Falls; sisters Dina Turner of Edmonds, Washington and Mary Kay Senden (Rich) of Helena; brother Joe Micheletti (Marilyn) of Anaconda; 14 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.Adeles family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to her dear friends The Church Ladies, Arlene Zaremski and Arlene Kato; and her very good neighbor, Bob Virostko.Adele would appreciate that memorials be sent to the Jim and Adele Meister Endowment at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 409 13th Str.
