Adele Burke

Adele Burke, 89, of Great Falls, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Peace Hospice.A vigil service will be Friday, May 12, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. The funeral liturgy will be Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. also at Holy Spirit with burial to follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.Adele was born August 23, 1927 in Butte, Montana to Bert G. and Mary (Connor) Foote. She graduated from Butte High School. She worked over the years for several car dealerships as an office manager.She married Donald Burke on October 13, 1951 in Butte. She and her husband Donald moved to Great Falls December of 1953.Adele enjoyed bowling and playing Pinochle. She also loved to travel, and in her travels she visited Switzerland, Germany, England, Ireland, and Australia. Mom loved her family and was proud of her children, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.She is survived by her daughters, Kathleen (Tom) Wilson, Donna (Mark) Miles both of Great Falls, Darlene (Tim) Binkoski of Billings, and Maureen (Larry) Swanson of Calgary; grandchildren Erin (Curtis), Michael (Brittany), Ryan (Kayla), Lee, Sarah (Dan), Elizabeth (Chase), Meaghan, Joe (Rachele), Lauren (Dan), Melissa (Thomas), Alexandra (Luke), Donald, and Emma; and 13 great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Don; son John Burke; and sister LaVerne McNaughton.Mom's family would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the officers of the Great Falls Police Department for their compassionate understanding and concern, the nurses and staff at Peace Hospice for providing tender and sensitive care, and a special thank you to moms neighbors and friends for their continued kindness and support.Memorials in Adeles name are suggested to Peace Hospice, 1101 26th St S, Great Falls, MT 59405.
