When I first moved to Great Falls in 1961 as a young teenager, George was my first friend. We remained friends through the years. I spent many weekends up at the "Cabin" with George and his folks, a better family there's never been. When ever I would return to the Falls for a visit, George was always my first and last stop. I've lost a true friend and brother. Rest in peace George. Love ya.

George was a real friend of all who believed in our Constitution and an outspoken critic of those who did not. His candid approach to truthful patriotism was commendable and his reproach to those who failed that test was lamentable.

It is with sadness that i read of George's passing. I first got to know George when he lived in Helena in the 1980's. He was a regular at the photo shop I managed. We discovered we lived within a few blocks of each other and went out several times to do photography. He was a really great guy and will be missed. God be with his family.

Who would of have thought that someone that just came to pay a water bill would turn into a great friend. He came in before his surgery to make sure his bill was paid. He shared with me that he was afraid of this outcome. I tried to assure him he would be ok and I would see him next month. I am in shock that George new this day was here. George is a wonderful person and I will miss seeing him each month. I always enjoyed his input on the issues that he was most involved with. A man that always had a smile and a nice thing to say regardless of his own struggles. I will forever remember my friend George and will share my memories with others and you do the same. It is up to others to keep his memory alive. My prayers go out to his family.

To the entire family, I send my sincere condolences and ask God to comfort you and hold you in His hands during this time of sorrow. Namen and Kelly, you were just tiny babies when I last saw you, but your father was a fine man and "loved his corvettes and friends" To John and Pat, I know the kind of loss you are experiencing now, but know that your brother loved you both so very much and cared about you, his family!! God bless you all, I will be thinking of you today!!!

I first met George at the Dept of Agriculture where we were both working in Helena in the 80s. What a guy. Among many other duties, he wrote the department newsletter and really knew how to describe people and things. I kept in touch with him and his family through different car related functions in the later years and looked forward to visiting with him. He will be missed and I have great memories of him.

George Paul (Mario) was our number 1 customer. He ate at our store almost everyday sometimes twice a day. He would sit and eat his meal and watch the news every time. He would talk to all the staff at KFC and also to some of the other guests. He was well liked by everyone and he will be very missed. Our condolences go out to his family. Sincerely Yours,

I am so sorry to hear the news of George passing. As others have said much more eloquently, he was such a good man, with his heart in the right place, and he made ours a better community.

I so much appreciated George taking the time to educate those of us who were in the media. He was straightforward and had a terrific sense of humor and humility.

Thank you, George, for your many contributions to our world. You will be missed.

Many years ago, I went to Carroll College with George. I aways marveled at his infectious laughter, style of leadership, and sense of community. Above all else, he loved God, his family, and his friends. I am now on the board of Trustees at Carroll. Ironically, I was traveling to a board meeting in Montana when I heard of George's death. I was filled with great sorrow because I did not get a chance to see him in these past years. I am so grateful that he did touch my life. Some people are never forgotten, and George is one of those. I asked to have a mass said, and will contribute to Carroll in George's memory.
