He had various jobs and helped on his father-in-law’s ranch. He joined the Montana Air National Guard, 120th Security Flight, now Security Forces in 1981 and was medically retired in 1991. His career in the military was enjoyable and knowledgeable. He believed in the American Way and felt blessed that he received the respect of all his friends and knew them well enough to share everything with,  his beliefs and dreams.

He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and son Kirk “Randy” Allen.

Charles is survived by his wife of 59 years, Lily Allen; son Bryan Allen; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on May 10, 2017 at The Bridge Church (formerly Valley Community Bible Church), 3400 Flood Road, Great Falls. Burial of ashes will take place at 2:00 p.m. at Highland Cemetery with military honors.

I walk with God. From this day on,

Wherever He leads, I’ll travel on,

This is my prayer, My humble plea

I pray that God Will watch over me.

Dear Lily and Bryan I was unaware of Charles's passing until today. I am so sorry. He always brightened my day no matter where we met. I know how devoted you were to him. And even though, his health issues reduced his quality of life, his attitude was always so positive. Please accept my love and sympathy at this difficult time.
